Squig Assistant End-User License Agreement
Version 1.0 · Effective 4 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Squig Assistant, proprietary software from Squig-AI that you license with a one-time purchase.
1. License
Squig Assistant (the "Software") is licensed, not sold. It is owned by Squig-AI, operated by an individual developer ("Squig-AI", "we"). By installing or using the Software you accept these terms.
One license is for one person. You may install the Software on up to 3 of your own computers and use it on one at a time: signing in on one computer signs out the others. You need a squig-ai.com account with a valid license to use it.
2. Purchases and subscriptions
A one-time purchase gives you a perpetual license, including the updates we publish for as long as we offer the Software. Updates may add, change or remove features. If you have a subscription, your access ends when the subscription ends.
If the payment for a license is fully refunded or disputed with your bank, the license is deactivated.
3. Restrictions
You may not:
- share your account or license with anyone else;
- copy, distribute, sell, rent, lend or sublicense the Software or your license (a backup copy for yourself is fine);
- bypass or interfere with the license check;
- remove copyright or license notices.
Sharing or reselling a license can get it revoked.
4. Third-party components
The Software includes third-party components under their own licenses, listed on the Third Party Notices page and in the licenses folder installed with the Software.
Qt, PySide6 and shiboken6 are included unmodified under the GNU LGPL v3. You may replace them in your installation, and their complete source code is available for direct download from the third-party source release. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licenses.
5. AI and commands
Squig Assistant uses AI to answer questions and run commands on your computer. AI can be wrong. Read-only commands may run automatically, but every other command runs only after you approve it, and you are responsible for the commands you approve. What the app sends, and where, is explained in the Privacy Policy.
6. No warranty
To the extent the law allows, the Software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that the Software, its AI output or the commands it runs will be accurate or error-free.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Squig-AI is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, including from commands the Software runs. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for the license. Keep backups of important data.
Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived by contract.
8. Contact
Questions: contact@squig-ai.com. If these terms change, the new version is posted on this page with a new date.
